Dear Girls,
Thank you for listening to my story. I am writing this to give you a little insight that I have found to be true throughout my life. The first thing is to find people that pour into you and you into them. It is so important to find friends that love you and help you through the tough times in life; for they are the best and most pure form of friendship you will come across. Treat them like a precious jewel because they are hard to come by. Be there for them and treat them as you want them to treat you. Have a heart that understands when those you love hurt you and pray for healing and forgiveness for your heart and for the people around you. (I know it sounds easier said than done).
I promise you that once you truly forgive someone, you do feel a burden lifted from you. However, this doesn’t mean that you need to stay in that particular person’s life. If someone is being a bad influence and harming you time after time, it might be time to cut ties with this person and to make sure you are taking care of yourself. It’s okay and good to be kind to that person or talk to them every once in a while, but it may be necessary to separate yourself to protect yourself.
The biggest thing I have learned is that you will meet amazing people in your life and they will probably hurt you and you may hurt them. The Lord is the only one who is constant and is the only one who is there for you always. He never has a desire to hurt you or condemn you. He is there to help you navigate this crazy thing called “life”. Look to the Lord always and you will be filled with joy, peace, and wisdom. It is hard to do this, I understand, for we are far from being perfect, but if you are wanting a fulfilling life Christ is the way. Read your bible and you will begin to understand him and his ways. The Lord has already told you what you need to know. We just have to pick up the bible and read the things he wants to teach us and we have to be willing to follow him. Whether you are a strong believer, new believer, or just exploring, I challenge you to read your bible and pray every day for two weeks and see how your mentality and actions change. Life is difficult, but with God all things are possible.
Much Love,
A fellow sinner and fellow daughter of the King
